Tests

Talk to us today about our SARS -CoV-2 testing solutions to help you stay safe as the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Pioneer Health has some of the most advanced and comprehensive testing solutions currently being offered across the globe to Airports, businesses, schools, and other organizations.

Pioneer Health offers 3 three different testing solutions proposed solution has three (3) testing dimensions:

Rapid Nasal Swab Test

The rapid nasal swab test is an antigen test that detects specific proteins on the surface of the virus (those spikes extending from the surface of the virus in those ubiquitous media images). Like the PCR test, it determines whether a person is currently infected

A sterile swab is inserted into the nose, and Pioneer Health’s on-the-spot laboratory analysis determines whether the specific proteins forming the crown of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 are present. Results are available in 15 minutes or less.

Blood Antibody Test

Blood antibody tests look for antibodies, proteins that help fight off infections and can provide immunity (protection against getting a disease again). These tests may determine whether someone had a past infection with the novel coronavirus, but should not be used to diagnose a current COVID-19 infection, because it can take 1-3 weeks after infection for the body to make antibodies (cdc.gov). Such tests are an important resource for information about the prevalence of the disease and the frequency of asymptomatic infection (infection without symptoms). They can also help identify potential donors of convalescent plasma.

The blood antibody test involves analysis of a sample of blood obtained by a finger stick or blood draw

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is a highly accurate molecular test that detects the virus’ genetic material, indicating whether a person is currently infected. More correctly referred to as RT-PCR (reverse transcriptase PCR), the test amplifies (makes copies of) the genetic material in the sample, and determines whether substances matching the genetic fingerprint of SARS-CoV-2 (the virus that causes COVID-19) adhere to it.

A sterile swab is inserted into the nose to take the sample from the upper respiratory tract, which then undergoes laboratory analysis. Pioneer Health can provide results in a few hours.

The Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) has resulted in economic and social lockdowns in most countries all over the globe. Early identification of infected individuals is regarded as one of the most important prerequisites for fighting the pandemic and for returning to a ‘New Normal’. Large-scale testing is therefore crucial.
